Holly’s Review
When I heard that ICE were bringing out the Pixel trike for shorter people, I leapt at the chance to give it a test ride. The proportions fit me!
I feel held and supported in the seat, my body is comfortable, being low to the ground makes me feel safe. I sense that I could go on for hours; that I am invincible. Because I am on three wheels, I don’t worry about maintaining my balance, which means that there is more time to look around at my surroundings and appreciate the glorious Devon countryside.

I took to the ICE Trike instantly; I felt immediately stable and confident. Riding my trike gives me the greatest sense of freedom, I love the exhilaration of cycling at speed, and leaning into corners; it is as if my trike has become merged with me, enabling me to be agile and graceful.
All 3 wheels on the Pixel are the same, smaller size, so there is no need to carry different tubes and it therefore folds down to a more compact size. I found the traction of the smaller back tyre to be better than the large-wheeled version on gravel roads.
The width seems the same as my narrow Trice Q, which means I can get through all of the gates on local paths. Importantly, the turning circle is a lot tighter. With the cruciform sitting under the seat on the Sprint X Pixel it frees up the steering to it’s full range.
Trialling the Pixel made me realise the compromises that I have been making and taking for granted. My conclusion: it's time to upgrade my old Trike”
