The Smart Free is a world first and an exclusive concept device that is not yet available for purchase. It is our first handbike that works completely without mechanical power transmission - no chainring, no chain, no rear derailleur.
Instead, it is based on innovative bike-by-wire technology. This pioneering system has already been extensively tested and offers significant advantages in terms of comfort, operation and maintenance.
In the centre of the system is the generative control head, which converts the pedalling movement into electricity and supplies the drive motor via the battery. The control head can be individually adjusted in height, angle and distance and can be folded away for transport - without any derailleur or oily parts.
